Believe me, I have studied almost everything there was published in my language on the topic. All Slavic women and girls wore headbands and templerings (actually the most common type of jewellery met in excavations). They also wore hats and headscarves. From the 11th century the headdress became more elaborate (and uncomfortable ;) ). I am also aware of headbands in Baltic costumes.

As for the costume itself people dressed quite alike in those times :) Viking women had different aprons, though (with braces, not sewn from one piece of cloth), wider sleeves and different jewellery. Shoes were also not quite the same.

I'm sure Pol's hate to be called vikings XD... As Vikings and Polish have hated each other since the dawn of time.

There are many reenactors here who recreate Vikings. My (former) group, however, was Slav-only. That's the key :)
